Dr. Amit Gadhavi is a highly experienced Specialist in Periodontics, with over 30 years in dentistry. He qualified from King’s College London in 1991 and initially worked in general practice before focusing exclusively on periodontics. In 1997, he completed a Master’s degree in Periodontics at the world-renowned Eastman Dental Hospital (University College London), where his research was published in The Archives of Oral Biology and presented at the International Association of Dental Research.

After completing his postgraduate training, Dr. Gadhavi was invited to join the Department of Periodontics at the Eastman, delivering complex periodontal care in a consultant-led clinic. He was admitted to the General Dental Council’s Specialist Register in Periodontics in 2001.

Since then, he has focused predominantly on the diagnosis and management of periodontal disease, receiving referrals from colleagues for both non-surgical and surgical periodontal treatment, including regenerative techniques and the management of peri-implant disease. He also has extensive experience in supporting patients with long-term maintenance plans.

Alongside clinical practice, Dr. Gadhavi serves as a panellist for the General Dental Council, contributing to the regulation and high standards of the profession. He is also an expert witness for medio-legal cases. He is known for his preventative, patient-focused approach and clear, empathetic communication.
