Dr Salim Dhalla BDS London

Dr Salim Dhalla is the Principal of the Groves Dental Centre. He qualified from King’s College London in 1975 and has worked in general practice since then. He is an experienced and committed general dental practitioner providing dental care for the whole family. As part of his Continuing Professional Development (CPD) he has completed several courses in advanced restorative dentistry. |

Dr Joanna Hardy BDS Ncle

Dr Joanna Hardy has recently joined the team and works part time at
the Groves Dental Centre.
She qualified from Newcastle Dental School in 2000 with Honours and
has worked in general dental practice in both the UK and abroad since
then.
She covers all aspects of dentistry with a particular emphasis on
restorative, preventative and paediatric treatments.

Dr Abdul Khan BDS, MSc Restorative , FDS RCPS Glasgow

Dr Abdul Khan is a registered specialist in surgical dentistry at the Groves Dental Centre providing implants and undertaking wisdom teeth removal. Dr Khan is able to provide complex cosmetic treatments having undertaken a Masters in Restorative dentistry. |

Dr Anitha Sanmugananthan BDS, London

Dr Sanmugananthan is a part time associate at the Groves Dental Centre. After qualifying in 2004 with honours from The Royal London Dental School she started working both in general practice and at East Surrey Hospital. Her interests are mainly in restorative, cosmetic and paediatrics, having recently completed a Certificate in Restorative Dentistry at the Eastman Dental Institute having gained the Membership of the Faculty of General Dental Practice (UK). Dr Sanmugananthan attends various courses in the UK and abroad.

Dr Nawshrat Dhalla BDS, DDPH RCS, MSc London

Dr Nawshrat Dhalla is a partner at the Groves Dental Centre and qualified from Bristol University in 1979. She has a particular interest in children’s dental care and provides treatment for anxious children under inhalation sedation. She focuses on Health & Safety issues at the Groves Dental Centre. |

Dr Richard Armah BDS Wales

Dr Richard Armah joined the dental team as a part time associate at the Groves in 2010. He has worked extensively in General Dental Practice in Cardiff, London and abroad after qualifying from Cardiff University in 2003. He is currently undertaking a certificate year in Restorative Dental Practice at The Eastman Dental Institute. His interests include Restorative and Preventive treatments for adults and children.

Dr Kamini Patel BDS London

Dr Kamini Patel joined the Groves Dental Centre as a part time associate in 2010. She qualified from The Royal London Dental School with Honours in 2004 and has been working in general practice. Currently she is studying for the Membership of the Joint Dental Faculties and undergoing a Masters in Restorative Dental Practice. She covers all aspects of dentistry with a particular interest in restorative, cosmetic and paediatric dentistry.

Dr Lawrence da Silva BDS London

Dr da Silva qualified from Guy’s Hospital in 1996 and since then has
dedicated his time to general practice in London, Surrey and Essex covering a
range of restorative treatments for adults and children. |
Our Dental Hygienist
We believe that preventative measures and good home care are an important part of your overall dental care. We are pleased to have the services of two Dental Hygienists. Their role is one of treating gum disease, as well as prevention of dental disease by instruction in appropriate mouth care.

Alice Widen Dip Dent Hygiene Sweden

Alice Widen qualified as Dental Hygienist from Stockholm Dental School; she has been working in private practices both in Sweden, Norway and the UK. Alice regularly attends postgraduate courses in the UK and abroad. One of her interests is in facial aesthetics where she has been attending courses in wrinkle softening.

Alma Griffith CEB Cert in Dental Hygiene

Alma qualified as a hygienist at the Royal Dental Hospital in London in 1983 and has worked in the NHS, Private Practice and Industry as a hygienist, educator and teacher. Alma graduated as a Nutritional Therapist in 2004 and NLP/Life Coaching & Hypnotherapist in 2007. The Hypnotherapy has been very beneficial when it comes to treating nervous patients.

Deirdra McNamara Dip Dent Hygiene & Therapy, London

Deirdra has recently joined the team of hygienists. After qualifying from The Royal London Dental School she has been working in NHS & private practices in the UK. Her role is treating gum disease, prevention of periodontal disease using appropriate oral hygiene instruction techniques and Air-Flow to aid in the removal of hard teeth stains.

Our Dental Nurses
Our Dental Nurses are trained to assist the dentists during treatment, as well as to look after you during your visit. They will also be able to help with any questions you might have about your dental treatment.
Our Receptionist
The Practice Receptionists In most instances will be your first point of contact with the Practice. They are experienced and trained to deal with enquires of a general nature.
Infection Control
We meet government standards on health and safety, infection control and hygiene. We have installed digital radiography to reduce exposure of radiation to our patients and staff.
